1.  National Membership Level MFIs

Description: National MFIs are members with spread in one or more states, and in each the geo-political zones of the Country.

National Membership means a member of the Association that holds full speaking rights at meetings of the Members, can participate at local, state and national meetings where they are registered to be operational, but have the right to ONLY one vote in elections, referenda, or meetings of the Members irrespective of their geographical spread.

2. Regional Membership Level MFIs

Description: Regional MFIs are members with spread in one or more states, and in more than one geo-political zone of the Country.

Regional Membership means a member of the Association that holds full speaking rights at meetings of the Members, can participate at local, state and national meetings where they are registered to be operational, but have the right to ONLY one vote in elections, referenda, or meetings of the Members irrespective of their geographical spread.

3. Zonal Membership Level MFIs

Description: Zonal MFIs are members with spread in more than one state, but in one geo-political zone of the Country.

Zonal Membership means a member of the Association that holds full speaking rights at meetings of the Members, can participate at local, state and national meetings where they are registered to be operational, but have the right to ONLY one vote in elections, referenda, or meetings of the Members irrespective of their geographical spread.

4. State Membership Level MFIs

Description: State MFIs are members with spread in one state, but in more than one local government areas in the state.

State Membership means a member of the Association that holds full speaking rights at meetings of the Members, can participate at local, state and national meetings where they are registered to be operational, but have the right to ONLY one vote in elections, referenda, or meetings of the Members irrespective of their geographical spread.

5. Financial Co-operative/Self Help Groups/Other categories Membership Level MFIs

Description: Cooperative/Self-Help Groups/Other category of MFIs are members operating in one or more communities in one local government area of a state, or have any other existence to serve a special or specific purpose in a state.

Cooperative/Self-Help Groups/Other category membership means a member of the Association that holds full speaking rights at meetings of the Members, can participate at local, state and national meetings where they are registered to be operational, but have the right to ONLY one vote in elections, referenda, or meetings of the Members irrespective of their geographical spread.

6. Affiliates:

Affiliates are registered as a government Ministry, Department & Agencies (MDAs), Bilateral or Multilater Organizations, Donor Organizations, Business Organizations/Associations, and Other Financial Institutions in the Nigeria Microfinance Eco-space.

Affiliates means a member of the Association that holds full speaking rights at state or national meetings of the Members, but does not have the right to vote in elections, referenda, or meetings of the Members.

7. Honourary Membership

An honorary membership is a commemorative  conferment to individuals or organizations without their needing to have the necessary qualifications, usually because of their public or organization’s achievements or a keen sense of ethical conduct for fulfillment of an honorary obligation in the promotion of micro-finance practitioners or services in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

Honorary Membership means a member of the Association that holds full speaking rights at state or national meetings of the Members, but does not have the right to vote in elections, referenda, or meetings of the Members.
